void memories

void.jpg

there you were
staring at the stars, the sky
frozen in time,
waiting,
for eyes to remember why you were born

yet they all think you’re void
of soul
of dreams
of purpose

how many times have you grasped for air
how many sighs have you left unheard
how many memories have you kept untold

your air we should be grasping
your sighs we should be making
your memories we should be spreading

  4. AG 10.01.06 / 11am

An image of incredible impact – most of which is in our own minds.

I didn’t like this at first. I thought I was just looking at some random pile of sand; abstract, but strange. Once I realized it was a face, I immediately took a liking to this photo. The orientation threw me off, but I like it.

nice crop, in my mind the contrasts could be a bit stronger :)

I love the way you cropped this, it looks like a landscape. I thought it was one of those eerie ash sculptures of people caught in the Pompeii volcano eruption.
